This is Paul Zasky and I am super excited to announce our next Dub Talk Radio with a very special guest!
As some of you might know, I am from Europe, precisely from Vienna, and for me, looking towards the United States it has been Emch from New York City’s mighty Subatomic Sound System who has been for more than 2 decades, like no one else, fully operational in the name of Dub, across the continent!
He toured for more than a decade with the late great Lee Scratch Perry, reshaping his mighty “Church of Dub” with outterworldly dub productions and cutting-edge live sets. 2023 he was on the road with Jack Johnson throughout Europe (stadium-level!), also producing a special track for Jack Johnson’s latest album, with Lee Perry in the mix.
Emch will be live in the dublab studio, and we will talk about his new album with Michael Rose, former singer of Black Uhuru, and Holly Cook, daughter of Paul Cook, drummer of the Sex Pistols. We will have a conversation about why for more than 50 years Dub Reggae music is still inspiring music lovers around the globe and reshaping so many musical styles. All this, plus excerpts from Emch’s brand-new album, released July 26th, will be embedded in the best dub mix we possibly could provide for all you folks out there.
