Happy to be back on dublab Radio for a springtime session! This time with a dear friend and very special guest: The one and only Chezere, from Barbados/UK, now proud citizen of the City Of Angeles. Some locals might know her from singing with Fishbone and mighty Angelo Moore aka Dr.Madd Vibe (New Album alert!) or performing with Lee Scratch Perry, Subatomic Sound Syst. & Ama B. at Coachella a couple of years ago….

But her body of work ranges back to the early 90’s when working as a singer in the UK Big Beat/Rave scene with legendary Urban Species, Don Letts & The Screaming Target or Big Audio Dynamite. Even found a video where she performs with The ROOTS! Not to mention her works with Jazzanova, Terrie Callier and her love for house and drum & bass music. Chezere’s past proves, how careers can take twists and turns throughout the years, often representing a challenging life, when the stage lights are turned off. This is also what we want to know more about. A woman in the contemporary music scene and her story.
