In conjunction with Fulcrum Arts Waves Upon Waves event series, as part of the Gettys’ Pacific Standard Time, Metabolic Sonics presented a live broadcast, one hundred hours in duration. The Bending the River “Mother Well” at Metabolic Studio was collecting and transmitting found and manipulated sound to one of the former industrial PIttsburgh Plate Glass Company silos on the edge of Owens Lake in Payahuunadu, the Owens Valley. Merging this extended mood piece with the ambient noise from the silo created a live broadcast extending one hundred hours, the entirety of Waves Upon Waves.
