PELLYVISION
12.12.24

PELLYVISION is a monthly cohesion of sound and vision. Each episode features a musical performance and/or dj set from a different artist, which Alex Pelly visually accompanies by synthesizing live audio reactive video using a modular synthesizer and other analog technology.
Hidhawk aka Haydeé Jiménez (Tijuana / San Diego ’81) is a transdisciplinary artist, educator, and organizer based in Los Angeles and transiting in the northern Baja California and Southern California border region. As a performer/curator of experimental electro-acoustic music, Haydeé also promotes fellow musicians and sound artists through Borderlandnoise – a community-driven experimental music series and festival (Borderlandnoise Fest). She is the founder of nettnett, an independent community venue-studio-space for artists and cultural allies that was located in Pasaje Rodriguez, Tijuana, Mexico, as well as nettnettradio, a decentralized internet radio project run by a transborder group of artists, organizers, and curators. Hayeé also works on multi-sensory approaches to relaxation, healing, and sound experiences via vibroacoustic music practices.
Alex Pelly is a Canadian video artist based in LA whose work incorporates multiple generations of video technology, both analog and digital. In recent years, her process has been centered on modular video synthesis. Frequently collaborative with musical accompaniment, her visuals serve as a reflection of and muse to the music simultaneously. She provides live visuals and installation work for various shows, music nights and art happenings around Los Angeles.
