dublab presents the Sounds of Now

Tottie was joined by Bay Area-born Marc David Barrite aka Dave Aju on this month’s “Across The Pond”. Dave Aju has striven to bring fresh and inimitable electronic music to the world, a balancing act of deep knowledge and passion for dance music history of the past and forward-thinking approach to production and performance. A diverse range of influences from his varied musical upbringing can be heard in Aju’s unique sound – from immersive jazz, to hip-hop, techno and even contemporary R&B/neo-soul.

Dave Aju original releases, remixes, DJ sets, and live performances have blessed selective labels, clubs, and festivals across the globe and have been championed by many like-minded peers, including Matthew Herbert who he has worked with on two EP releases, to forward thinking festivals like MUTEK, of which he has played multiple times. Giles Peterson has championed Aju as one to watch, promoting remix collaborations for Peterson’s Brownswood label and multiple guest appearances on Worldwide FM.

Tottie welcomes Aju for his first show on dublab’s airwaves, catch him in the second half of the show from 7-8pm.
