Madeleine is an LA native, born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. While studying anthropology, she developed a passion for researching and archiving cultural materials, which led her to work with reissue labels like Luaka Bop and Light in the Attic. With roots in the Dominican Republic, she’s especially drawn to exploring music from the Caribbean and other tropical islands around the world.
