dublab’s 2024 Membership Drive is going out with a bang as our DJs band together for our annual 72 hour marathon.
DJ Squiggle (a.k.a. Madeleine Sturma) and hatt bring Guanábana to dublab radio for the dublab 2024 membership drive marathon. Guanábana explores music culture from islands. The Guanábana fruit (or soursop) is a tart fruit that is commonly found in tropical climates. This episode features the music of Guadeloupe. In the episode we skate through different gems that the island has to offer. Guadeloupe is known for many genres such as Gwo Ka (meaning big drum), Zouk (synthy/upbeat/dance), and Biguine.
