Barbarelle

Shows: Atlas

Bárbara Salazar a.k.a Barbarelle is an Argentinian sound curator, selector, and music explorer currently living in Buenos Aires.

Her curiosity prompts her to mix different kinds of rare sounds from all over the globe and from all times, generating soundscapes and an almost archaeological journey through music. Her main focus is telling stories through sound and connecting people with music on a deeper level.

She co-curated ‘Viento Sur’ (Vampisoul) with Alejandro Cohen, a compilation of late ’80s to early ’90s leftfield synth pop, experimental folk and ambient from the vaults of Argentina’s very own label Melopea Discos, owned by the legendary artist Litto Nebbia.

Bárbara works as a sound curator for fashion, wellness & nature related brands, commercials, and museums like LACMA.

Atlas – like her show- is also a series of listening sessions where Barbarelle focuses on active and deep listening experiences.
