dublab presents the Sounds of Now

Todo o Nada, named after T.O.N Records, is rooted in Soltera‘s father’s immigrant journey. He discovered the label while exploring the 90s grunge and rock en español scene in North Hollywood. Despite working part-time selling cars, he pursued his passion for music, learning how to produce and audio engineer by night. This dedication, along with his DIY ethos, inspires the radio show to showcase diverse genres. Like Soltera’s label CASA/TECA, Todo o Nada aims to uplift underground artists globally, reflecting a commitment to community and independent music.

On this month’s episode, Soltera is joined by guest Rico Rica.

Barranquilla’s cuntiest export since Shakira, RICO RICA is a DJ/Producer, Singer, and songwriter moving boldly across a haven of rhythms, melodies and percussions grown from Latin American heritage, folklore, and internet culture.

Inspired by their hometown’s Pico sound system, Rico’s mutant and eclectic sound is infused with the transgressive energy of the Latin American underground cuir scene. The highly percussive, sensual and unpredictable character of their performance tightens the dancefloor into into a space of radical celebration, where bodies entangle to the sound of their aggressively bouncy experimental bass.
