There’s a transformative power to Dana Williams’ voice, a rare ability to bend time and turn feeling bad into something impossibly lovely. Raised on singers like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, the L.A.-based singer-songwriter brings a jazzy nonchalance to her delivery while drawing big emotion from the subtlest vocal movement.

The daughter of legendary guitarist David Williams (Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”, Madonna’s “Like A Prayer,” etc), Dana is known for her timeless vocals and guitar blending jazz, soul and folk into a hypnotically shapeshifting breed of R&B: symphonic yet raw, understated yet impactful, heavy-hearted yet transcendent. Dana released her debut EP, ‘The Lonely One’, in 2014 and introduced her second EP Let’s Fall the following 2015. Her breakout release came in 2017 with her single “Honey”, which helped land her collaboration with Rejjie Snow “Egyptian Luvr” ft. Aminé and Kaytranada. Her third EP titled Thank You For The Memories was delivered in 2020, featuring a cover and acoustic versions of several of her singles. That same year, she was featured in H.E.R.’s weekly instagram show “Girls With Guitar” where Dana performed on her guitar and H.E.R. was said to be in awe of Dana’s talent.

Dana unveiled her 5-track EP ‘Talk Therapy’ on June 23, 2023 alongside a new visual for her focus track “Lose Control”. Swooning with her signature jazzy nonchalance, the poignant project looks at Dana’s conscience deliberating her own desire for independence and follows her continued journey of self-discovery, healing, and emotional evolution.
