Marcel Everett’s short time making music as XXYYXX has already shot him around the world, via the tops of Bandcamp charts as well as the month long tour through Europe he just completed with San Francisco’s Giraffage (check out his brilliant tune “Moments” here). As a 17 year-old Florida native, his debut release is channeled full of humid Orlando energy that rolls high on chilled out booty bass and warped up vocal samples. “Alone” is a relaxed jam that showcases Everett’s wonderful skill of beautifully blending pulled sounds and synths with his own taste of hip-hop elegance.
