What would life be like if everyone had a lil portable synth with them wherever they went? Secret Circuit had one with him earlier this year, an OP-1. It’s too bad that everyone doesn’t have a lil portable synth everywhere (maybe not), but if you click below you’ll probably agree that things aren’t that bad when we can listen to what happens when Secret Circuit does.
Despite Eddie Ruscha’s unceasing work ethic over the years, it probably wouldn’t be too out of line to say that this past year has been a notably productive one for him, especially with regards to his output as Secret Circuit. He put out a full-length on Tim Sweeney’s new Beats in Space Records (the first record out on the label) earlier this year, did a number of remixes and collaborations, and, because he happened to have an OP-1 portable synth with him while in Italy this summer, put out his most recent release, False Soundtracks, on his bandcamp.
Press play below and take a listen to I Like You Music. Press here to listen to and buy False Soundtracks. Also, keep an eye out early next year for a record on ESP Institute from Secret Circuit and Suzanne Kraft’s new project Blasé (a little bit of which can be heard here).
