Master hand/talking drummer Remi Kabaka has infused the wide world of sound with African rhythms. This Ghana born, Nigerian artist has performed with The Rolling Stones, Ginger Baker, Steve Winwood, John Martyn, Hugh Masekela, Paul Simon, Paul McCartney and more legendary acts. He has provided the ever important essence of rhythm to these artists on stages and in recording studios around the world.
Danny Holloway met Remi in London back in the day and produced the 1975 Island Records 7-inch Peckin’ by the Peckers on which Remi played trap drums. The two friends came together in the dublab studio to reminisce and talk about Remi’s impact on the music landscape.
