My Dry Wet Mess…not a phrase in a conversation you’d want to intentionally walk into. Yet, it is possible that Daedelus walked in on such a conversation when he first found himself in the presence of the sincere talent that is My Dry Wet Mess. Daedelus, has lent this Barcelona-based interactive designer and producer a platform with deep roots on his Magical Proprieties label.

Dry could refer to the lucid organ keyed angles that cough and skip, sifted like a theme throughout this warm mix. Wet finds representation in the hints of urban angst and bass juggled thwapt and slapping nurture of the dance-paced beast at full volume! The organic elements assembled, saunter at times past samba, stumbling into an intoxicating melodic pocket twirling honestly between LA’s own gourmet hip hop movement and London’s dubstep in the same mind-altering direction. A Mess of highly orchestrated sound spills. Beats are delicately designed with an intention that’s barely subliminal and human qualities arise (Busta Ryhmes being one). My Wet Dry Mess is indeed a unique voice in a nation of limitless inspiration and potential. Authentic gestures like this are earned then respected. There is fortunately nothing messy about My Dry Wet Mess. We at dublab were blessed by the Mess for this live dublab “sprout session.” It is now yours to inherit.
