  • 2:00pm – 4:00pm The Urxed – Crushing With…

The Urxed is the solo recording persona of Robert Barber, and 1/2 of the duo High Places. The name Urxed has been used for various art and music projects since he was a youth, originating as a Graffiti name in Philadelphia and New York City, where he spent most of his life up until relocating to Los Angeles in 2009. The Urxed moniker was a teenage-inspired reference to the song “You’re X’ed” by early 80’s Washington DC hardcore punk band The Faith. The Urxed creates his music, largely by the cut and paste process of highly tweaked scraps of self-made recordings, and manipulates the pieces live with pile of cheap samplers and hardware that resembles the aftermath of a burnt down Guitar Center.
