  • 9:00am – 10:00am Luxxury – Good Morning, Disco!

    Blake Robin is excited to return to the airwaves for the first time since high school when he ran the 2-6am slot at SF’s legendary 90.3FM KUSF. Expect the same blend of disco and funk with drips and drops of pop that he employs in both his original music as LUXXURY as well as his lauded/controversial series of LUXXURY Edits. How can pleasure be guilty when it feels so right?

  • 12:00pm – 2:00pm Shesaid.so w/guest Alima Lee (Akashik Records) – Shesaid.so Radio

    shesaid.so is a global community of womxn who work in the music industry. Formed by members of the Los Angeles chapter, the shesaid.so Radio LA team aims to motivate, connect, and showcase the work of inspiring womxn worldwide. The monthly show will feature interviews and themed discussions exploring industry news, trends and womxn’s ever evolving forms of influence within the music ecosystem. Our conversations will cover the artist/manager relationship, interviews with top talent, tips on how breakout as a femme womxn promoter, and more. The second half of the show will include an exclusive mix or performance from some of shesaid.so LA’s favorite artists. Join us every third Saturday of every month from 12-2pm to get inspired by personal stories and tunes from womxn in music like you.

    This month, shesaid.so invites the incredibly talented Alima Lee of Akashik Records. Tune in for an insightful conversation with Alima about running a record label, filmmaking, and her music-making. She will also be doing a live DJ set to round out the last hour of the show.

    Spiritjack is a DJ/Producer based in Tokyo. He performs live using improvised sounds from the radio, and has performed on dublab twice. Spiritjack also performed live on NTS radio in February 2018.

    He released a new EP titled “Psilocy” on Bass Star Records, and his fourth album “Dubtopia” on Blue Tunes Chillout in August 2017.

    Xelor Era returns to dublab! Drop into this special three hour broadcast to hear his take on Factory Records’ music and the implications of the label’s social and musical impact. In three parts, Xelor Era builds a fresh narrative with bands known the world over. Here is an excerpt from the show:

    Introduction: It’s my belief that history is a wheel. A wheel that rolls through the street and runs over anyone in its path , and Factory Records is the victim of this wheel, a wheel of life that obviously didn’t need factory records, but it was what factory records brought through their discography that will always outrun this wretched wheel of life. From its inception in 1978, Tony Wilson had the belief that “the real money and power were in album sales ”, and it’s this belief that maintained Factory Records for 22 years and characterized the dilemma that Factory Records brought through opening The Hacienda and financial hardships created by the bands Happy Mondays and New Order…
