Justin Maxwell is a sometimes techno producer, but mostly a UX designer for Google. It’s that connection with physical hardware, through music, that has kept him grounded in the intersection between interfaces and what we seek to accomplish with them. His musically formative years were spent soaking up the acid basslines echoing off canyon walls in the Mojave, the elements of which still persist in his style today. Having achieved success as 1/2 of the dark electro act Volsoc and made some amazing tunes with John Tejada, he continues to enter his elaborate analogue modular synthesis cave a few times a year to create some mindwarping material.
