Riffing
01.06.10

This building in Hollywood’s Cosmo Alley housed the tiny 60s club Bido Lito’s where the group LOVE began. (The building to the right in the background is the former RCA records building where the Rolling Stones recorded Satisfaction, Under My Thumb, etc.) This Riffing mix begins with two versions of Love’s song “Message To Pretty”: Les Aristos’ French rendition called “Ton Visage Maquille De Joie” followed by Love’s original version. Some soul songs fall in, then a whole heap of deep funk/rare groove instrumentals. Voila!
