TED is a small non profit devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading.” It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

On TED.com, the best talks and performances from TED are available to the world, for free. More than 500 TEDTalks are now online, with more added each week. All of the talks feature closed captions in English, and many feature subtitles in various languages. These videos are released under a Creative Commons license, so they can be freely shared and re-posted.

In 2010, a spectacular group of people will converge on Palm Springs, California, to experience a live simulcast of TED in an intimate, full immersion setting. TEDActive blends the allure of the future with the mystique of a desert oasis, complete with live music, bonus speakers, and highly inspired makers/doers.

dublab djs frosty and Turquoise Wisdom were invited to enhance the experience with dj sets and musical experiments. As a primer to TEDActive they created a special “Timeless Gems Worth Spreading” mix to turn-on participants and the universe with rare sound gems from the dublab collective. Enjoy!
