The folks at SONOS invited dublab to be part of the workshop series at their SONOS Studio listening gallery. Rob Barber from High Places, Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel), and Ale (dublab) guided the workshop and talked to high school students about open-source music making software and other ways to record at very low or no cost. For some, this was an introduction, while others were already way ahead, making their own beats and audio recordings. In any case, everyone had something to take back home with them, including the songs below, written by the students with the help of Rob, Jimmy and Ale. We suggest you swing by the SONOS Studio for some creative listening next time you’re in Los Angeles.
