DUB CLUB MEETS DUBLAB INNA HEADCHARGE: 2 rooms of musical madness!!!!

Two of the most vital forces in the LA underground music scene join forces for a night of serious soundsystem culture past present and future not to be missed by lovers of bass, riddim, and/or Jah music in any of its many incarnations.

IN THE ECHOPLEX – DUB CLUB PRESENTS: David Rodigan, Mighty Crown, Shinehead, Firgo Digital with Kiddy Ranks, Echodelic Soundsystem DJs!

David Rodigan is a reggae legend both in his native UK and in Jamaica. He may look like an insurance executive, but he has won sound clashes against the top Jamaican sounds.Whether playing exclusive tracks or breaking down the history of reggae on the mic, there are few more entertaining DJs in this world than David Rodigan.

Mighty Crown are a 5 man DJ crew hailing from Yokohama, Japan. In 1999 they shocked everyone by becoming the first Japanese sound to win the world soundclash held in Brooklyn. This show is part of their 20th anniversary tour.

Shinehead is a multitalented force of nature whose mic skills are second to none, whether singing, chatting or beaming in from the African Love galaxy.

Firgo Digital with selector Kiddy Ranks in one of LAs hidden treasures, a veteran Jamaican soundsystem with deep crates of deadly dubplates.

Echodelic Soundsystem DJs : Tom Chasteen, Boss Harmony, Roy Corduroy and Dungeonmaster have been holding down the fort at Dub Club for over 10 years now, building their love of roots music into an LA institution.

IN THE ECHO – DUBLAB PRESENTS: Far-out dub and dancehall through a psychedelic lens from Duppy Gun Productions, Danny Holloway, Frosty , Punky Reggae Party, and special guests!

Duppy Gun Productions is the nom de musique of Sun Araw & M. Geddes Gengras, fresh back from Jamaica and ready to reveal their new dub & dancehall jams recorded with the Congos and others.

Punky Reggae Party djs – DJs Michael Stock, Boss Harmony and Jason Mason bring a special set highlighting the further outreaches of dub sonics.

Danny Holloway aka Stoner Dan should be a musical icon just for producing The Heptones “Night Food” album, but this night we will be happy to hear some selections from his vast collection of Jamaican 45s.

Butchy Fuego is the tropical lightning bolt you need in your life. He is the dude behind Pit er Pat, one half of Na Fuego and bangs drums frequently with the Boredoms and MIA.

Hashim B. has dub to dub you up. His riddims are heavy and exotic and will surely blast your rockets. Be ready to be blazed.

Frosty is the leading light at Dublab and a tireless DJ champion of musical expansion who was just named LA Weekly’s DJ of the Week. His weird waves will be vibrating at high volume

Nanny Cantaloupe is dublab’s weird wave wonderkid. He will be providing layers of analog synth to smoke up the scene.
