Rob Mazurek and Chad Taylor (AKA Chicago Underground Duo) are masters of all things experimental. They cruised into dublab with only an hour to spare, but were still able to take us on a trip we won’t soon forget. Armed with little more than an mbira and a cornet – the Duo enveloped the room with the sound of 1,000 symphonies. Listen closely as this very special improvised “sprout session” transforms itself into layers of weaving waveforms.
