Laura “Alluxe” Escudé is an electronic music producer/controllerist who is constantly pushing the boundaries of live electronic music performance. Her huge sound and fashion-forward look is complimented by her alluring stage presence complete with custom LED controllers, vocals and violin. She never fails to impress as she blends original compositions, improvised beats, and violin loops seamlessly. As one of the first Ableton Certified Trainers in the world, she lives and breathes music and technology.
Alluxe recently returned from her time on Miguel’s Wildheart Tour. She not only played an opening DJ set, but also handled music programming duties as a member of Miguel’s band. She has also opened for alternative rock legends Garbage, performed alongside underground dance music trendsetters like Machinedrum as well as with pop songstresses Kiesza, Charli XCX and Iggy Azalea. Additionally, she has handled music programming and vocal effects for Kanye West shows since 2011. Alluxe has also designed shows for The Weeknd, Jay Z, Herbie Hancock, Porter Robinson, Drake, Bon Iver, Childish Gambino and many more.
Her signature sound fuses hip hop and bass music to create a unique style of forward thinking electronic music. Buzzing synths soar over the top of rippling bass lines punctuated by organic percussion. The dramatic build ups in tandem with her classical violin training give her music a larger than life cinematic feel. Her production skills have earned her commissioned remixes for M83, Polica, and Mr. Hudson.
Alluxe’s new EP “Contrast” will be out in July 2016.

Markman (Brian Markman) has been a DJ for over 15 years starting in the Acid Jazz scene in Los Angeles in the 90s. Combining House sounds with R&B, Jazz, and Hip Hop tracks was a seamless fit and he cut his teeth at classic parties like 45 vibe and Jazid Up! Before long Trip Hop would begin to overshadow the scene, turning his attention elsewhere. Drum and Bass was emerging in the States and beginning to infect the Acid Jazz scene with its futuristic vibe. The use of many of the same funky elements led to a fruitful union with the Presha Crew and WreckIgnition to help create one of Los Angeles’ first D&B clubs. As the sound moved away from its classic roots to a more technological feel, new forms of House made the choice to evolve again an easy one. Two Step, or UK Garage as it is known more commonly known was all of the love of the past with the new energy of the 2000s. Launching Pull, Los angeles’ first UKG club showed that this sound could take root even across the pond from its origin. Now a Garage and House DJ, Markman incorporates the classic sound of 90s House with the futuristic R&B elements of UK Garage and Bassline. As an Ableton Live Certified Trainer, live performance of original material was a natural progression of his musical expression. Combining Ableton Push, Korg Volca synthesizers and Native Instruments plugins, his live sets are a freeform affair that still adheres to the types of sounds and energy that made his heroes, artists like Adamski, Orbital and the Chemical Brothers shows so compelling.
