TEMPO GALLERY presents: Masha Mar, Dakin Auret, Ian Zunich, Colin James, Wybie

TEMPO GALLERY is back from the its debut of a new all night warehouse in the Long Beach area. Deep house and minimal grooves all night to symbolize the sound of the 90s and other dance-floors from that time. The setup will consist of 2 CDJ 3000s and 2 technic 1200s MK2 with an A9 mixer. All the equipment needed to take the floor to the next level with wax and digital sound to convey sonic experiences into the late night morning. Headlining this event we have MASHA MAR Los Angeles powerhouse DJ and producer originally coming from Serbia. Masha’s sound has been rocking dance-floors around the world for years now continually shocking the audience with her Funky Disco and Electronic rhythms that have been assimilated with some of the biggest festivals through examples like Factory 93 and Movement. While her track record perceives her, she has also been involved in dance-floors through many legends including Honey Dijon and Heidi Lawden who she has collaborated with to create one of the biggest parties in LA,Take It Outside. Her extended set with Tempo Gallery will show her expertise on the decks combining her big room house sound, with the deep cuts that can be played for intimate audiences. Bringing the crowd up and down through tracks and vibrations, Masha is sure bring life to the late night dance-floor that Tempo has presented for her. In support we have Dakin Auret, cofounder of Strange Loving a record label out of South Africa, and owner of the biggest record store for house and techno in Long Beach, Foot Work records. Dakin has been playing and selecting records for 20+ years and he has played many festivals in Cape Town throughout the 2000s. Once focused on the rave sound of Africa, Dakin has made a switch to playing more vinyl, and taken a deeper approach to dance-floors. Now playing for many parties in LA including Sunday Sessions and Cafe, he using his knowledge to his ability showing the floor a mix of the deep LA sound mixed with the polyrhythms and crunkness of the Cape Towns monstrous house scene. Dakin’s set is sure to exemplify a masterclass of the ears that have rocked events for years now combining rolling basslines and stabby chords to create a euphoric environment.
Finally for opening and late night sets we have Tempo Gallery resident and owner Ian Zunich alongside Colin James and Wybie. Creating a wave of the new sounds coming into the scene. All three of these selectors will be exemplifying the likes of Deep House and breakbeat rhythms, mixed in with the sexiness of Disco and Minimal music.
These sounds will show what Tempo stands for a the sound that is trying to be achieved through the event series. Colin bringing his infectious energy and basslines, combined with Ian’s ability to control the floor with lyrics and heavy Deep Soul, and Wybies ability to use breakbeat and heavy house, will keep the feet moving continually to show the dance-floor what Tempo is about and what they are trying to convey to the Long Beach and LA scene.
