Severity of Belonging

dublab’s Spring Artists-in-Residence presents works by Nina Keith and Sammie Veeler.
Severity of Belonging is a collaborative exhibition featuring Keith’s Periphone and Veeler’s Memory Terminal. An ante-posthumous water avatar and a temporary archive. Two artifacts which hope to serve as decoration in the vestibule of your life. If you could have, would you witness a botched miracle attempt?
Following 6-weeks of construction at dublab, the exhibition opens with a reception on February 23rd featuring live performances in dialogue with the works.
The exhibition will be open from 10am – 5pm Monday, February 24 through Sunday, March 3.
Nina Keith is a multidisciplinary artist and composer from Philadelphia currently based in Los Angeles. Her work explores themes of death and groundlessness through music and sound art.
Sammie Veeler is a Los Angeles-based artist and organizer working with poetry, performance, software, and computer hardware.
