Greg Belson is a DJ, record collector, producer, curator and compiler of rare soul music you might not have heard before, specializing in the world of Gospel. His constantly evolving collection of hard to find, original recordings is revered around the world as one of the finest examples of its type, and is the result of many decades of diggin in the crates across the United States.

Born and raised in London, UK, Greg began his DJ career playing and promoting gigs in and around Europe with label mates from Defected Records, Ninjatune/BBE, which led to Greg joining forces with Keb Darge to launch the now-legendary Deep Funk night. Greg’s multi-year residencies at The Great Escape and his own Hogwash club nights set the standard for busy dancefloors.

He began production partnerships in 1997 with a stellar array of collaborators including Aquasky, DJ Harvey, Nick Faber, releasing material as Appleseed (Kingsize Records), and ‘Hightower Set’ (Black on Black). Greg now co-produces with partner Yam Who? via their Divine Discs label – their collaboration with Lady Lois Snead being a recent highlight.
Relocating to California in 2006, Greg began hosting a number of radio shows both in the US and UK with his flagship broadcast ‘The Divine Chord Gospel Show’ on Dublab.com now in its 15th year. Listenership across the globe has been growing, leading to the launch of multiple compilations including ‘Greg Belson’s Divine Disco’ and ‘Divine Funk’, along with many others on multiple labels including Cultures of Soul, Luaka Bop and Harmless – his latest Checker label gospel compilation was recently released on the Honest Jon’s label.

Greg has toured extensively across the globe sharing his passion for gospel, including a residency at ‘The World’s Best Club,’ the Block 9 NYC Downlow stage at Glastonbury Festival.
