Davina Two Bears
Davina Two Bears is Diné (Navajo) from Northern Arizona. She has a PhD in Anthropology from Indiana University – Bloomington. She grew up on the Navajo Reservation, and is a life-long listener of Native American and Indigenous music from her tribe and other Native American Nations. While a grad student, she began to volunteer as a DJ playing Native American traditional and contemporary music. She became instantly hooked and realized the breadth and depth of Native American and Indigenous musical talent from the Canadian Artic to the tip of South America. She is proud to share Native American and Indigenous music with dublab’s the listeners. She’s even taught a college course entitled, “Indians Who Rock the World: Native American Contemporary Music,” and she hopes to continue learning, teaching, and DJing about Native American and Indigenous music and musicians.
