The team behind the record labels Preference Records and The Village is here with an internet radio program.
Humans’ biggest advantage over other species is our ability to cooperate. Cooperation is difficult to establish and almost as difficult to sustain. For any individual, freeloading is always the best course of action. Reason developed not to enable us to solve abstract, logical problems or even to help us draw conclusions from unfamiliar data; rather, it developed to resolve the problems posed by living in collaborative groups.
This month’s episode features a live performance from one of the Universe Brain crew, Jesse Justice.
Jesse Justice has been endlessly running in circles in the background of the Los Angeles music world. Over time, while playing in bands with many other musicians, doing admin work for labels (Preference Records and The Village), organizing shows, and having a well cooked meal, he has also been focused on creating a mostly hermetically sealed music project that will be released under the name “Temporary”. “Temporary” consists of electronic music completely written and produced by Jesse Justice, some tracks dancy, some not. Everything fits together in a way that’s not easy to do.
