The Quarantine Tapes: A week-day program from Onassis LA and dublab. Hosted by Paul Holdengräber, the series chronicles shifting paradigms in the age of social distancing. Each day, Paul calls a guest for a brief discussion about how they are experiencing the global pandemic.

About episode 051:

“One thing that this pandemic has laid bare is the inequities in our healthcare system and the undue burden on the poor, on people of color. The disproportionate impact that it has had on poor communities is telling, is shocking…move to address that are paramount to moving forward.”

On episode 051 of The Quarantine Tapes, Paul Holdengräber is joined by ER doctor Jason Hill. Dr. Hill shares the harrowing experiences of being a medical practitioner in the midst of COVID-19 and what the near future might look like as the country slowly begins to re-open. Through this conversation, Paul and Dr. Hill also address the inequalities within the healthcare system, the undue burden thrusted upon communities of color, and what needs to change in order to better serve these communities.

Jason Hill is an Emergency Medicine doctor with a PhD in Neuroscience and a penchant for art,
3D printing, and global health. He has always had a strong desire to heal the world and color it
at the same time. He grew up in rural Maryland, trained in St Louis Missouri, and currently lives
and works in New York City.
