Queerspace LA is a party and movement that provides a space for the darker sides of the LA queer underground. Specializing in techno, hardcore, drum and bass, industrial, experimental noise and much more. This set by curator Peter Kalisch – with special guests Succubus and Eva Myra May – is a deep dive into the Queerspace vibe.
Succubus (She/Her) is a 24-year old black trans woman originally from New Jersey now raising hell in Los Angeles. Succubus is an alternative creative, hard-hitting DJ, drag artist, model and activist. Succubus’ DJ style specializes in combining Jersey Club, House, Vogue and Techno into her own universe. Having been featured in Vogue Runway, LA Times, Paper Magazine and more, this underworld heiress has become a queer staple in LA nightlife.
Eva Myra May is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and DJ specializing in synthesis and sound design. Her work entails a hybrid of genres and techniques stemming from her vast list of influences and never-ending interest in technology. Her creations are deeply personal and centered around one thing; what the tools can help us feel.
