PATRICK GLEESON is a pioneer electronic music synthesist who first came to prominence in the early 70s as a member of Herbie Hancock’s groundbreaking Mwandishi band, where, as one critic noted, his performances “changed the future of jazz.” Gleeson subsequently played on and often produced recordings by a who’s who of American jazz musicians including Hancock, Bennie Maupin, Eddy Henderson, Joe Henderson, Julian Priester, Lenny White, Ron Carter, Charles Earland and Freddie Hubbard, as well as recordings by major rock and R&B groups—over a hundred recordings in all. Over the years, he’s also created 10 solo or small group recordings that have increasingly focused on a unique combination of improvisational elements drawn from American minimalism, contemporary jazz and electronic dance music, all of them recently re-released by BSX Records. Patrick is also noted for his extensive work in film and television, including being appointed ‘Master Synthesist’ by director Francis Ford Coppola for his legendary film “Apocalypse Now”.

KEN RAMM is an EMMY nominated composer and the artist behind EUPHORIA. He is holder of the trademark in that name, for a musical group, in the United States and Canada. Ken was introduced to Patrick Gleeson by Dublab Creative Director Ale Cohen. 2021 will see multiple releases in his, “On The Road To ‘Euphoria’ …” series. New material by EUPHORIA, which will feature Patrick Gleeson, along with Grammy Award winner Steve Addabbo and others, will follow.
