Sylmar Soundsystem will start off as a place for Pacoima Techno to play vinyl they’ve come across over the years.

From 3 different sources:
A donated hip hop collection they found at a thrift store
Their radical aunty who fought for immigrants and lived to the age of 97. (Románticas, Corridos, Banda, Norteños.. etc)
A neighbor was moving and posted on Facebook. They came home with all of his records. (Punk, Industrial, Goth, Noise/Experimental..etc)

Dolomedes ( “D” or “Dolo”) is a Chicana-based artist from Los Angeles, who also plays guitar and occasionally vocals with AURAT. Currently she’s also active as a DJ, dancer, & multimedia artist.

This set is a reminiscence of growing up in a Mexican household, along with her influences in punk, metal,no wave, & so much more. An homage of inner child & love for the weird stuff that connects to her spunky self.
