Pollensource and Cron - guest session

Low Pass Gays is a show about modular synthesizers, hosted by wife and wife team Lauren Bousfield and Naomi Mitchell. It focuses on the history, techniques, philosophies, users, and future of modular synthesizers. Along with guests, they answer questions listeners send in and muse gaily about synthesis and sound. They accept questions on their Twitter account @lowpassgays and Facebook page of the same name.

Naomi Mitchell is a designer, user, and educator of modular synthesizers. She designs and makes eurorack modules as omiindustriies and performs live as Naomi FM. She has done workshops with FeM Synth Lab and at the Ableton LOOP conference; as well as helping organize LA’s Modular on the Spot. Her work focuses on rhythm and randomness and the interaction between artist and electronics. She can be found @omiindustriies on social media and lives and works in Los Angeles.

Lauren Bousfield is a Los Angeles-based pianist and composer. She writes music for video games, television and film. She has released music under her own name and as Nero’s Day At Disneyland. Her music has been described as a hyperkinetic and symphonic take on experimental electronic music, juxtaposing sound design with traditional arrangements. She’s worked with composer Hans Zimmer’s production company, Remote Control Productions and currently writes music for television.
