Discoteca Imaginaria is an audio docu-series covering the people, places and sounds that have shaped popular music. Each episode transports listeners through history to the greatest club on earth – the disco of our imagination.

This month’s episode is guest hosted by Matt Arman. He’ll be exploring ‘The Bank’, a goth club on the Lower East Side of New York City during the late 80’s and 90’s and its influence on the ‘Dark Entries’ record label in San Francisco decades later.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Matt Arman grew up watching bands at the Hollywood Bowl, which had a heavy hand in his music education and love for programming. Out of curiosity and enthusiasm, he learned the art of DJ’ing and uses it as a tool to connect with others and share music he loves. More recently, he dove into the music and tech space and curates Dance & Electronic experiences for streaming platforms.
