Speak My Language

07.01.19

On this month’s Speak My Language: Jasmin Blasco and “The French Artist” argued about inconsequential things like the evocative power of the lyric vs. the sensorial embodiment of tone.

Jasmin Blasco (b.1981) is a multi-disciplinary artist who approaches time-based media as the site where sound, image, and language conspire to generate fictions. His work has been featured at the Antarctica Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale, Istanbul Modern, The Victoria and Albert Museum, Zébulon, The Music Center LA, Human Resources, Coaxial, Iklektic, Spektrum, Goldsmith, Ikono.tv, at Wilding Cran Gallery and Baert Gallery in LA and with Seymour Projects in Paris. He lives and works in Los Angeles, where he hosts a monthly show on Dublab.

Speak My Language explores the entanglement of sound, speech and music. Each month, the show features a guest, radio fictions and a curated playlist.
