Straying away from the hip-hop zeitgeist, her transparency, cleverly constructed rhyme style, rhythm, and choice of subject matter have earned her the love and respect from both underground and mainstream worlds alike.

She’s worked alongside Patrice Rushen, Moby, Gabriel-Garzon Montano, Kendrick Lamar, Dr.Dre, Logic, Terrace Martin, Georgia Anne Muldrow, and frequent collaborator, Damani Nkosi amongst others

Her 2017 full-length release, “Heirloom” was named “one of the most important albums” that year by NPR, and was later performed it on NPR’s Tiny Desk televised concert series as well as Issa Rae’s award winning television pilot, “Insecure” on HBO. She is now 1/2 of Harriett, the newly formed pairing between her and her partner-in-rhyme Damani Nkosi, having released their “Album of The Year” positioned, self-titled album Harriett.
