Letting go of the ego and embracing the insignificance and wonder that is our little lives. Tracks that make us feel wide-eyed and adrift in the abyss, or make us grateful for the cozy joy of being a mote of dust.
Hormone is the project of LA-based musicians Jim Colby and Rosie Clements. Started in Tucson, AZ as the damp and funky antidote to the dusty psych overload of the desert, it has since mutated to encompass pop-house reductions, chilly dub droners and glossy ambient float-alongs. Recently the duo has linked up with a third member, LA-based one man production powerhouse Gus Tomizuka, to further fracatalize the boundaries of dance music, woozy dub, and good ol DIY freak music.
