Celsius Drop
12.10.20

On his weekly Celsius Drop show, dublab co-founder Frosty guides you through an exploration of the vast Future Roots music spectrum.
On this episode, Frosty was joined by Hans-Joachim Roedelius a pioneering electronic musician and composer who co-founded the legendary German bands Harmonia and Cluster. In recent years, Roedelius has been gravitating evermore to the piano where he creates music exploring the potential of what he refers to as “interferences.” The resulting works are like shrines to honor space—songs as somnambulistic serenades guiding the moon’s dance with the tides.
Roedelius’ new solo piano record and notation book entitled Drauf Und Dran is out now on Groenland Records. He kindly graces the dublab airwaves to share some of his favorite classical piano works by other composers, a selection of recordings spanning his own vast career, and to speak with Frosty about the intensity of intention.
