Celsius Drop
04.02.20

On his weekly Celsius Drop show, dublab co-founder Frosty guides you through an exploration of the vast Future Roots music spectrum.
This week, Frosty was honored to welcome Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah onto the program, beaming in from Ghana. The Jamaican drummer, teamed up with visionary UK producer Adrian Sherwood (On-U Sound) in 1981 to form African Head Charge. The duo along with a rotating crew of collaborators, launched the form of dub music into a new realm of mystic psychedelia rooted in deep culture.
On-U Sound has been reissuing a wave of African Head Charge works recordings most recently, Drumming Is A Language (1990 – 2011). To celebrate the release, Bonjo joins Frosty on Celsius Drop to talk about his musical career and to share favorite recordings from the African Head Charge catalog alongside the sounds of his sonic roots.
