Live at Stereophonic

05.28.00

Catch the vibe with this jazzy, downtempo live set from P’Taah at Stereophonic back in May 2000. The beats are busy and the rhythms skitter along under the influence of samba and batucada on this nearly forgotten project by an under appreciated voice in house music: Atlanta’s Chris Brann. This set finds the artist selecting material (mostly) from his debut album un the P’Taah moniker Compressed Light, released on Ubiquity the year prior. Chris dubs things out a bit and midway through manages to slip in Fourth World’s excellent “Snake Bite.” Enjoy below.

Tracklist:

P’taah – Million Miles
P’taah – Apricot
P’taah – Compressed Light
P’taah – Uriel Bridge (DJ Venom’z Viper Dub)
Fourth World – Snake Bite
P’taah – Crossing (Evacuation of Form)
P’taah – Flying High (Chateau Flight Remix)
P’taah – Portal One/Two
P’taah – Flying High
P’taah – The Answer is Silence

FROM THE VAULTS is an ongoing curation project produced by Ben Sinclair, resurfacing rare live performances and DJ sets recorded during dublab’s first ten years.
