Evar Radio
12.08.22

Evar Records is an electronic music label dedicated to finding collective harmony in a disparate group of sounds. Multifaceted by design, cultivating a space that embraces the importance of sonic exploration and artistic freedom with a fundamental emphasis on genre hybridization, Evar aims to cultivate an ever-evolving multidimensional experience that upholds musical integrity through a holistic approach. By considering how the body, mind and spirit connect back to genuine artistic expression, Evar leans into true feeling, allowing its forward-thinking instinct to take hold. Evar Radio on dublab aims to showcase DJ’s who exhibit the Evar values through their music.
NXV
NXV is the project of Los Angeles raised artist Nathan Valle. Emerging from the underground electronic music scene as live act ‘138’ and co-owning the TXTRL label, his paving through past visceral and abrasive sounds, now sees a juxtaposing view. As a solo artist, he has developed an uncanny potpourri of otherworldly sound design, fused with piercing melody and influence from disorganized beats. Illustrating the aggregate of his experience, NXV’s DJ sets lead an effervescent exploration across an aural expanse of ethereal soundscapes, broken beats, dub, and other sonic frenzy.
KEEPSAKES
Keepsakes, the alias of British-New Zealand producer and DJ James Barrett, has been a strong and distinctive voice in techno since rising to fame through his Stygian Concrete Works and Weapons Grade Manic EPs back in 2014. Since then he has showcased his powerful and menacing, yet often cheeky and playful, productions on influential labels including South London Analogue Material, Perc Trax, MORD, and KAOS.
Furthermore, he founded the Haven club night alongside Jaded Nineties Raver in Tāmaki Maraukau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand) in 2015 – aiming to introduce clubbers to the experimental and harder side of techno in a city completely devoid of this music. In 2018 Haven also expanded into a vinyl-focused record label – going on to release many leading international artists including VTSS, Tommy Holohan, New Frames, Peder Mannerfelt, Ayarcana, Ansome, and Ryan James Ford, as well as becoming the main home for Barrett’s own productions.
Now located in Ōtautahi, Aotearoa (Christchurch, New Zealand) – following several years in Berlin hitting the European club circuit – he is focused on bringing his tough and eclectic sound to dance floors worldwide, with regular appearances at international techno institutions providing a platform for his formidable DJ sets.
