Founded in 2019 as a radio show and online platform, Dub & Effection (D&E) is a project of Guyanese-American DJ and Dub-Stuy member EDICA+ that sheds a light on everything Sound System Culture, music and art.
Riffing on the expression “Love & Affection”, D&E focuses on the appreciation for the foundation of Dub Music – the sound, the production techniques, the equipment – and its connection to modern dance music such as Bass, Deep Dubstep, Downtempo, and other forms of experimental Electronica. All for the Love of Dub!
Episode 35 of Dub & Effection features a special conversation with Madrid-based Reggae/Dancehall artist Lasai, recorded during his debut U.S. tour. He shares insights into his influences, global journey, and offers a taste of his dynamic live performance—followed by EDICA+’s signature eclectic mix of fresh selections.
