The party continued following dublab’s quarter centennial celebration at PSSTUDIO in Downtown Los Angeles for the afterparty, Q2, on October 5th, 2024. A lineup of dublab’s heaviest hitters took to the booth from 10pm until late.

DJ KERRY began her musical beginnings with the piano at the tender age of 8. By the age of 12, Kerry was making her own mix tapes through the influences of Michael Jackson, SOS Band, & Loose Ends to name a few. Her musical taste has since expanded over the years and enjoys everything from Disco, Nu-Disco, to House and everything in-between. Many of her DJ influences come from DJs such as DJ Harvey, Greg Wilson and David Mancuso to name a few.For the past 15 years, DJ Kerry has made a name for herself in the underground scene of Los Angeles by throwing successful parties, such as Nitty Gritty, Rice & Beats, Hang Together and most recently, The Basement, an intimate underground affair that has been considered a quite a gem in the LA music community. DJ Kerry continues to share her passion for music and plays regularly throughout Los Angeles.

Coming up as a vinyl collector in her hometown of San Diego, Sonrisita pursued DJing as a means to create space for underground sounds and communities. Now based in Los Angeles, Sonrisita uses her foundation as a record digger to build eclectic sets that weave together both the new and nostalgic. Sonrisita’s played in various cities across the U.S., Mexico and Canada and has opened up for artists like Quantic, Durand Jones and the Indications, and Dam-Funk. Over the years her dedication to music has also extended outside of the booth. Most notably she is working on a book that chronicles the history of the iconic East Side Story compilations based on her original research. She has also been a Researcher on the award-winning music podcast KCRW’s Lost Notes. Sonrisita’s passion and curiosity for music in all of its rich diversity is evident in everything she does.
