On Saturday, September 28, 2024, dublab celebrated its quarter centennial at Zebulon. Taking over the beloved Frogtown venue with 25 DJs, a host of live performances, and engaging visual artwork by Alex Pelly, offering a multistage event that showcased the station’s homegrown talent. dublab’s annual anniversary parties also serve as crucial fundraising opportunities, and this year was no exception. Juke Bounce Werk (co-founded by DJ Noir, Jae Drago and Sonic D), have laid the groundwork in the expansion of Chicago Ghetto House, Juke and Footwork music in their native hometown of Los Angeles, California.

Juke Bounce Werk began as a local monthly event in Los Angeles in the spring of 2013, which flourished into a weekly staple, hosting the likes of heavyweights such as RP BOO, JLIN, DJ Earl, DJ Clent, and more.

JBW became an essential music platform via their Soundcloud through implementation of their weekly top ten mix series, which saw participation from artists around the world. The series became the go-to standard for the global juke and footwork music community.

JBW released their debut various artist EP in the summer of 2014 and has since released over 250 artists between 2 dozen artist compilations and solo artist projects. Their decade long compilation series JBDUBZ, was awarded DJ MAG North America’s BEST COMPILATION in 2022 for the 9th installment JBDUBZ vol. 9. The JBW collective continues to push the sound as one of the most active DJ/production collectives across the country.

JBW has grown to international status across the US, Singapore and New Zealand. They continue to produce dance events and showcases worldwide.

JBW has successfully dismantled genre boundaries by incorporating global underground sounds to illustrate the rich history and relationship within all styles of dance music.
