The Emotionalist Transmission is a residency with Emotionalist Music founder Jonny Sum. At its’ core, it will be an introspective journey of eclectic selections surrounding specific genres and formats each month.

DJ-D hails from Crown Heights, Brooklyn, born and raised on the same block as the famed Empire Roller Dome, and has enjoyed touring the country and worlds biggest roller skating jams, whether it be Moodymann’s Soulskate Detroit Party, Atlanta’s Sk8athon, Paris Rendez-vous, London’s Roll-On, and now Skate Love Barcelona this September. His style blends the best of downtempo house, new school tropical + afro sounds, and the finest in hip hop and R&B.

Also representing Brooklyn, Willy Soul is the Music Director behind Xanadu Roller Arts, blending underground soulful and deep house with all things funk, hip hop, and leftfield world music. He has held past DJ residencies at Brooklyn hi-fi clubs, Good Room & Public Records, and is the co-founder behind the warehouse party series + artist collective, Funky Seshwa.
