David Orlando, AKA Boss Harmony, is a Los Angeles based DJ and Artist. He started spinning records in 1995 after studying at Otis Parsons and has earned a reputation for the breadth and depth of his unique and compelling musical selections. David took the name “Boss Harmony” in 2001 when he joined the Echodelic Sound System, the group responsible for the 12-year-running Roots Reggae night, DUB CLUB. As an avid vinyl collector of many styles of music, Boss Harmony has pushed the limits of party music in Los Angeles. In 2006, he created PUNKY REGGAE PARTY (along with DJ Michael Stock of Part Time Punks), which is now a Los Angeles staple of party madness. A year later, he teamed up with DJ Dina Juntila to create DR. WHO, a night exploding with obscure and psychedelic 60s world music.

Punky Reggae Party features musical selections from the Punk & Post-Punk period between 1977 – 1982 (although the show also features other era’s, sub-genres & Pre-Punk influences), as well as Jamaican music from the Ska, Rock Steady & Roots Reggae era’s, respectively. Reggae music & its recording techniques influenced many of the British Post-Punk bands & it’s recording techniques.
