Gabie Strong is a LA based interdisciplinary artist and educator using noise, improvised sound performance, and radio broadcasting to reveal the overlay between environmental degradation and violence against women. She is the founder of Crystalline Morphologies imprint dedicated to releasing sound works by underserved Los Angeles women and non-binary artists. She has worked with Kchung Radio since 2011 to provide community accessible radio broadcasting, dj’d at KBLT and UCLA Radio/KLA, and is an original organizer of riot grrrl LA. She teaches Community Radio at Otis College of Art and Design.
