ASHLA (a.k.a. DJ FIVER) is a writer, musician, assistant curator, and DJ based in Los Angeles, CA. She is the front woman of art-folk band Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit, whose music draws from experimental genres and American folktales. In addition to DUBLAB, Ashla is a DJ on low-power radio station KTPC 99.1FM in Venice. Working with Los Angeles International Airport for the public music series “LAX Presents,” hosted in collaboration with DUBLAB, Ashla helps curate live programs that represent the tastes and tones of the city. Beyond music and DJing, Ashla is a published writer (Poets & Writers Magazine, Dream Boy Book Club, SPRAWL Publishing) and aspiring surrealist.
