You screwed up. You heard “pair of shoes” instead of “parachute.” Damn that crackly phone line! Now you’re standing on the edge of the airplane about to dive into the thick jungle below and all you have to hold you up is a pair of sneakers. Fuck it, fate has come knocking. You jump past the propeller and suddenly you’re in free fall. Your life is flashing but another flash appears as well. Plummeting through the air next to you is Dj Lengua with a face full of smiles (stretched even wider with the wind) and a boombox strapped to his back. Before you have a chance to go splat he grabs your sneakers and pumps them up from the tongue. After a quick thirty seconds you are suddenly hovering feet up in mid-air shuffling to Lengua’s sounds. His cumbia, chicha and bass music is the perfect airborne audio.
