If you don’t know about Hoya:Hoya, then get to know! The club night in Manchester has featured Dabrye, the Gaslamp Killer, Daedelus, Rustie, Flying Lotus, Danny Breaks, Mark Pritchard, Benji B, Dam-Funk and more, and the spin off of Sketch City, which also saw Ras G & Samiyam visit. Hoya:Hoya is held down by its two residents, Jonny Dub and Illum Sphere. The pair played at Low End Theory in this past February, celebrating the release of Illum Sphere’s ‘Incoming EP’ on Fat City Records… he also stopped by to play at Funkmosphere whilst he was in LA. Illum Sphere just released a split 7″ with Mono/Poly for the “Producer 2″ series and is working on new material as we speak… Please enjoy the first Hoya:Hoya Sessions, recorded exclusively for dublab!
